THERAPY FOR MEN

Men’s Counseling for High Achievers, Fathers, and Professionals

Even with growing awareness around mental health, we still don’t talk about men’s emotional wellbeing enough.

Many men feel pressure to “tough it out,” avoid vulnerability, or carry the emotional weight of others without ever sharing their own. At Viewpoint Art Therapy, I work with men who are ready to break that cycle, whether it’s your first time in therapy or you’ve tried other approaches before.

Why Focus on Men’s Mental Health?

  • Men are less likely to seek therapy, yet they are four times more likely to die by suicide than women (CDC).

  • Only about 1 in 3 people in therapy are men.

  • Many providers speak directly to women's experiences. Far fewer say, “Hey men, this space is for you too.” I want to change that.

There also aren’t enough male providers in the field, which means men often feel like outsiders in mental health spaces. Despite this, I continue to see more and more men showing up in my office, and I truly love the work we do together. Therapy offers space to pause, reflect, and shift patterns that may have been in place for years.

You don’t need a crisis to benefit from therapy. I work with men navigating:

  • High stress, burnout, and feeling like “there’s never a break”

  • Anger, irritability, or emotional shutdown

  • Relationship issues, communication struggles, or infidelity

  • Substance or alcohol use as a way to cope

  • Life transitions, fatherhood, career pressure, or identity shifts

  • Exploring gender roles and cultural expectations around masculinity

  • Difficulty identifying or expressing emotions

  • Feeling stuck or disconnected (from yourself or others)

Finally had a place to vent without needing to fix it all right away.

Could drop the pressure to have it together and just be honest.
