LETS GET CREATIVE ABOUT FINDING SOLUTIONS.
Aubrey rainbow, LCPAT, LCPC, LPC, PAT, ATR-BC
— a woman, wife, mom, outdoor enthusiast, artist, martial artist (trained badass!), friend, world traveler, advocate, and creative spirit. I’m passionate about starting new adventures and bringing a detail-oriented, thoughtful approach to my work.
Professionally, I’m dual licensed as an art therapist and a talk therapist, and I love bringing a creative element into the work I do. Imagery and metaphor are languages I speak fluently, and I often weave them into sessions to help deepen insight and create new ways of understanding and growth.
While I recognize that I come from many majority spaces, my heart is in building authentic connections with people from all different backgrounds.
In therapy, I show up as a thoughtful, engaged listener who will notice your patterns with you, challenge what’s not working (and be your biggest hype woman for what is), and help you explore practical alternatives for daily life. We’ll also dig into the deeper, long-standing beliefs you hold about yourself and the world around you, creating space for lasting change.

Venturing beyond the therapy room, my career path has been a colorful journey. From teaching ESL in South Korean elementary schools, where I discovered the profound impact of culture, to thriving in the fast-paced environments of tech giants like Tesla and Peloton, I've honed my resilience amidst high-pressure environments.
my guiding principles
CREATIVITY
In the busyness and pressures of everyday life, our creativity often gets buried beneath the weight of responsibilities. Yet, creativity isn't a skill we build—it's an innate part of who we are, waiting to be rediscovered. Just picture entering a room full of kindergarteners and asking who's an artist—every hand would shoot up! Somewhere along the way, we learned to be self-conscious, timid, or to take ourselves too seriously, causing us to lower our hand on the claim to our own creativity. My goal is to help you unlearn these inhibitions and rediscover the joy and freedom of self-expression.
AUTONOMY
I may know the ins and outs of mental health, but when it comes to your life, you're the expert.
My job is to help you figure out what matters most to you and where life is, and isn’t, aligning with those values. Therapy isn't about me dictating goals to you—it's about you knowing who you want to be and me challenging you and cheering you on every step of the way.
ACCOUNTABILITY
In therapy, accountability means that I am committed to working just as hard as you are towards your goals. You'll find that progress happens when about 80% of the work you’re doing happens outside of our sessions- when you're applying our discussions and your insights to everyday life. Similarly, I dedicate a large portion of my time outside sessions to review your progress, plan for our next meeting, prepare materials, and stay updated through continued education in my field.
INCLUSIVITY
At Viewpoint, I am committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. I celebrate diversity in all its forms, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, body, and religion.
Discrimination and prejudice have no place here, and I actively work to promote understanding, acceptance, and equality for all (and am open to feedback if I mess it up).
Here’s how I approach therapy
-
Do you ever catch yourself feeling frustrated, saying to yourself, "I hate when I act like this," or "Why do I still feel this way"? I use IFS-based parts work to explore elements of your personality and reactions to stressors that may be disrupting your daily life. IFS operates on the belief that there are no inherently bad parts, and through getting to know these parts of ourselves better, we can come to understand that many of our most disliked parts are actually working hard to protect us. I have yet to encounter a part of someone that didn’t make sense once we got to know it better.
-
Worried about what others will think? Get caught up in the details? Enjoy a sense of play? Have a hard time getting started? Question your decision making? Open to trying new things? Strengths and struggles in life will often show up as strengths and struggles in art making. Let’s use art to practice new ways of tackling old patterns.
-
At Viewpoint Art Therapy, one advantage is the direct accessibility to your therapist - that's me! I handle all aspects personally, from scheduling and billing to answering all emails and phone calls. This hands-on approach ensures a smooth experience for you while providing me with confidence that you're receiving the best care. (I'm just as meticulous about details as you are!)
