Therapy That Fits Who You Are and What You Need
At Viewpoint Art Therapy, I offer a range of individualized therapy options rooted in creativity, depth, and emotional safety. Whether you’re looking for art therapy, IFS-informed work, support tailored for men, or space to process your own experiences as a therapist, you’ll find flexible, personalized care here.
Below you’ll find details on session types, rates, and options to help you make an informed decision about what works best for your needs and schedule.
Fees - Individual Therapy
Intake Session, 80 minutes
$250
This 60–80 minute intake allows us to wrap up the foundational work in one session, rather than spreading it out over several. It’s a time- and cost-efficient way to make sure we’re ready to hit the ground running by session two.
50-minute Session
$180
50-minute sessions are the standard format for individual therapy. Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. As we go, we’ll check in about what’s working and adjust the length or frequency to best support your goals and schedule.
80-minute Session
$250
If I’m honest, this is my favorite format. The extra time allows us to go deeper, whether we’re doing art therapy, IFS parts work, or simply need space to settle in without rushing. With 80 minutes, we’re not just getting started and then immediately wrapping up. We have room to explore, reflect, and actually move through something meaningful.
I know it’s a bigger investment. Some clients choose this format biweekly instead of weekly 50-minute sessions, which can feel more sustainable while still offering the depth they’re looking for.
(If you’re commuting, this option can also mean fewer trips to the office or longer sessions that make the drive feel more worthwhile.)
You can choose a focus that best supports you:

Paying for therapy
I am an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. (Want to learn more about this? Read my blog here.)
You can use Thrizer to verify your out-of-network benefits and submit superbills (detailed receipts I’ll provide you after our sessions). They will manage the reimbursement process for you to save you the insurance headache. Once you meet your deductible, you receive reimbursements in a few weeks via direct deposit. You can create an account and get started at www.thrizer.com.
FAQs
-
The frequency of our therapy sessions will be determined collaboratively, considering your symptoms, the severity of their impact on your daily life, and the goals we set together.
Initially, we might opt for weekly 50-80 minute sessions or biweekly 80 minute sessions to establish a strong foundation. As we progress and your needs evolve, we can reassess and potentially adjust the frequency.
It's crucial to be open about any scheduling or financial constraints, ensuring that our approach aligns with your well-being and practical considerations.
If childcare, work schedules, financial constraints or commuting pose challenges for your therapy attendance, opting for an 80 minute session every other week instead of the standard 50 minutes weekly could be a great fit for you.

No. Please note that I do not directly accept insurance. Viewpoint Art Therapy is categorized as an out-of-network provider for all insurance policies. Payment for each session is due in full and will be billed the morning of your session.
If you would like to use your Insurer’s Out of Network (OON) benefits, I will provide you with a Superbill (detailed receipt) that contains all the necessary details of the session. You can then submit this Superbill to your insurance company to seek any eligible reimbursement.
If you do seek OON reimbursement, Viewpoint Art Therapy takes no responsibility for pursuing reimbursement or for your insurance company’s decisions regarding reimbursement amounts. OON claims are entirely between you and your insurance company.
Uncertain about your out-of-network benefits? I suggest reaching out to your insurance provider and inquiring about the following:
Do I have out-of-network mental/behavioral health coverage?
Do I need a referral to see an out-of-network provider?
What is the deductible for out-of-network services and has it been met?
How many sessions will be covered per calendar year?
What is my coverage or “allowed amount” per session?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90832? How about for 90837?
How do I submit claims?
What is the typical processing time for claims, and when can I expect to receive reimbursement?

At Viewpoint Art Therapy, I prioritize your autonomy and privacy by not accepting insurance for therapy services.
Insurance companies often impose restrictions on your care, dictating factors such as session length, frequency, and duration of treatment.
By opting out of working directly with insurance companies, I can help ensure that our therapeutic journey remains solely focused on your needs, without external interference or compromises on your privacy and treatment preferences.

I welcome payments through credit or debit cards, including FSA or HSA cards.
To facilitate smooth transactions, I require keeping a card on file, and charges will be processed automatically on the day of our sessions.
Please note that I do not accept cash, check, or money order payments.

Life's uncertainties can occasionally affect our scheduled therapy sessions. I appreciate clear communication and advance notice regarding any such impacts. Your dedicated appointment time is a priority, and I ensure no double booking or overbooking of sessions. I require cancellations to be communicated with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
For cancellations made 24-48 hours before the scheduled appointment, a late cancellation fee of 50% of your scheduled service will be applied. Alternatively, you have the option to reschedule for a makeup session within 7 days to waive the fee. The makeup session will be subject to my availability that week.
For cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, 100% of the session fee will be billed.

Standard session lengths are 50 minutes or 80 minutes, which are perfect for most scheduling needs. However, if you're interested in longer sessions, let me know and I’m happy to discuss options. While insurance does not cover extended sessions, if you're willing to invest, we can certainly make it work. Let's chat about your options and how we can make the most of your time and our time together!
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
